Delphine CAPRON

How many roads must we walk to be born again?

Delicately armed with sweetness, Delphine Capron transports us to faraway lands where Men and Nature are threatened by Darkness. Welcome in her first album 'The Lighthouse Tree'.

Music

With airy melodies and angelic polyphony floating upon gentle riffs of guitar, Delphine Capron transports her audience in a cocoon.

Along with Pierre Lacube  who simultaneously plays his doublebass and the drums , they draw a sensitive indie folk-rock landscape.

The songs of Delphine Capron, written in French and English are inspired by mythologies and her favorite poets. Djalâl-Ad Dîn Rumi, René Char, Neruda, Silvia Plath and William Wordsworth meet a medieval and antique bestiary.

The softness of her music contrasts with her lyrics, reminding us of French singer Barbara but also Cat Power, Lhasa de Sela and  Joan Baez.
