Music
With airy melodies and angelic polyphony floating upon gentle riffs of guitar, Delphine Capron transports her audience in a cocoon.
Along with Pierre Lacube who simultaneously plays his doublebass and the drums , they draw a sensitive indie folk-rock landscape.
The songs of Delphine Capron, written in French and English are inspired by mythologies and her favorite poets. Djalâl-Ad Dîn Rumi, René Char, Neruda, Silvia Plath and William Wordsworth meet a medieval and antique bestiary.
The softness of her music contrasts with her lyrics, reminding us of French singer Barbara but also Cat Power, Lhasa de Sela and Joan Baez.
