Winter Garden
Dear All,
No newsletter since this summer because due to a "sliding statue accident" that hurt and mashed my left hand badly ... Fortunately, it happened after the concert at the music festival Les Suds; you will find extracts on my Youtube channel.
Over 200 people came under the arches of the Vincent Van Gogh Garden and Lisa and I were very grateful to play for such an attentive public and also very moved by the applause and the persons who queued after the gig to have the cd and tell their feelings. Thank you so much! I also thank the team of the Festival Les Suds because I was able to meet one of my favorite artist, the Spanish singer Silvia Perez Cruz who was present at my concert and who warmly encouraged me.
Gracias preciosa Silvia, cada palabras tuyas fueron un regalo y me las repito cuando necesito fuerza.
If you want to fall in love , her concert at the roman theater is here.
Deprived from my left hand, concerts and travel plans in Burma and Asia are temporarily postponed. I am really disapointed because I was eager to meet the photographers who used my music at Yangon Photography Festival but on the one hand it is the occasion for me to deepen my work on different but equally crucial axes like broadcasting, communication, videos. I want to thank my team, Zoe, Maureen, Lisa, Robin and Yang who are students from the Master "Administration of Cultural Institutions "at the University of Aix-Marseille in Arles. After my accident, their enthousiasm and their presence gave me a lot of support.
Here are the news of this last semester:
- Broadcast of the album : you can now listen and buy my disc on music platforms thanks to the platform Wiseband, I let you click there to choose Spotify, Deezer, Itune or Apple Music. So you can find it in Europe, USA, and Asia. If you read Chinese, you can even sing "The Eyes of the Owl" in Chinese thanks to Yang Wang, who is promoting my music in China via the Netease "Chinese Spotify".
- Visual Universe: a clip for "Peau d'Ames" was produced by the multi-talented director (cellist, photographer and computer programmer) Méline Waxx. She worked on the writing and production of a video we shot last Sunday, November 26th (on a freezing cold morning) in the beautiful abbey of St Félix de Montceau next to Montpellier. Despite the cold weather, we were transported by the magic of the place and by the majestic presence of Philippe Henry. He created the cello arrangements of Alice et la Gorgone and Peau d'Ames. I invite you to click on their name to find out more about their music. Thank you Meline and Philippe for your support of my musical project, I feel very privileged!
If you live in the Provence, I strongly encourage you to go and listen to Philippe surrounded by three musicians visiting the texts of Rainer Maria Rilke, on December 16th in Soubes (30700) Booking: 07.86.72.87.04. For more information, subscribe to my Facebook page where I regularly post the information of my collaborators.
And what's up with the gigs? My hand is healing slowly but it does progress, and I work really hard to be able to play this spring. For now, I thank the Departmental Museum of the Antique Arles, where I work. I get inspiration everyday from the remains left by our ancestors 2000 years ago. As fro the statues, I have my eyes on them!
To be continued 😉
I wish you a very sweet Christmas,
Delphine
